The main idea behind any recycling and washing plant for plastics is to be able to obtain an outgoing product the more washed and dried, but above all HOMOGENEOUS.
The homogeneity of the outgoing product depends on the quality of the separation process of the different kinds of plastics, performing by using a very simple principle, that is the FLOATATION, which works on the SPECIFIC WEIGHT of the different kinds of materials.
Materials with specific weights or upper or lower to the one of water (fixed as = 1, as a reference) usually aren’t compatible and must for this be separated in order to be reused separately later.
ITALREC designs and manufactures FLOATATION TANKS which allow to separate, and then recover, both kinds of plastics, that means both the floating ones (SP < 1, usually POLYOLEFINIC basis) and the sinking ones (SP > 1, STYRENIC basis, but also PVC or PET).
The technical concept is practically the same but working in the opposite way, allowing the recovery one of the floating plastics, the other of the sinking ones.
Particular measures have been taken for what concerning some technical modifications, included tanks dimensions, walls inclinations, number and type of rolls, palettes design, unloading auger diameters.
All this for better granting both the longer time of residence possible in the water, avoiding at the same time possible jamming, and the maximum and the more efficient handling of the product itself. All this gives as a result an HIGHER GRANTED EFFICENCY IN THE SEPARATION, and so a FURTHER WARRANTY OF QUALITY IN THE OUTGOING PRODUCT.
