A particular attention has always been paid by ITALREC to the drying of the materials processed in its plants.

Every kind of plastic material processed in a sorting and washing plant must necessarily been dried from residual moisture before being reused as a secondary raw material.

Only when some precise moisture parameters are satisfied the material can be reworked in an efficient way, above all when it must be passed through an extruder for producing new granule for the manufacturing of new plastic products.

ITALREC studied a range of machineries which, by using some particular technologies and by exploiting the continuous technical improvements coming from years of direct experience on the plants themselves, allow to respect these needed parameters about end residual moisture not only in RIGID plastics, quite easy to do, but above all for what concerning FILM and STRETCH (LDPE and LLDPE).

Besides the traditional spin drying machines, which use a peculiar system compared to other standard ones on the market, the drying results can be improved by using our TK400 SQUEEZER or the DRYING TROMMEL using hot air and with different stages, until arrive to use, in specific cases, the DEC, a patented high performance machine.




Our range of spin drying machines is studied for obtaining the best performances with the lowest efforts, reducing in this way the consumption.
The particular design of the rotor and of the blades grant excellent results in eliminating residual moisture; with rigid plastics we actually grant, except in special cases, to reach a <3% level of moisture, necessary for directly passing the outgoing product through an extruder with no need of further drying steps. The rotor, along with the high blade supports, allows to accelerate the air inside and consequently eliminate the moisture; the air is not taken from the outside (with consequent charge of moisture) but create inside the machine. Thanks to the dedicated door it is also possible to adjust the residence time of the product inside the machine, in order to improve the drying effect. The pierced sieve through which the dirty and also the fine fractions are expelled is equipped with an automatic system of self-cleaning brushes.


The peculiar design of the screw and the draining basket improves from one side the squeezing capacity and from the other it avoids the jamming of the outgoing products, so that it will not be necessary to add further shredding devices.
The bearings housing is studied for allowing the disassembling and maintenance operations in the briefest time possible.

Composed by two or more overlapping and/or aligned rotating cylinders, grants excellent drying results, also thanks to the possibility of adjusting both the residence time of the products by adjusting motors speed, and the hot air flux crossing it for drying.
The adjustable hot air flux is generated by a combined battery-fan system; the customer is usually free to choose other possible heat sources according to the conditions and possible presence of pre-existing devices easy to connect to the trommel itself (generators, power units, etc.).

The densifier is a PATENT PROTECTED machine which finds its better applications not only in the mere plastic sector but also in wastes and combined materials.
Born as a densifier for agglomerating non rigid plastics, in order to reduce the proportion between weight and volume, and optimising in this way the stocking, the handling, and the transport, is gradually been modified till becoming the essential instrument to work on those different cases in which no other machine can help.
The two co-rotating screws with anti-wearing covering, the warmed and adjustable plate, the dosing and feeding system controlled by a patented valve, make the DEC the ideal machine not only for plasticising film or packaging, but above all for working on those plastics which would normally be considered a non-recyclable waste, due to their peculiar conditions.
In its warmed chamber it is in fact possible to work:

⦁ Plasmix
⦁ Compounds (wood-plastic, rubber-plastic, sawdust-plastic)
⦁ Working wastes (car fluff, WEEE scraps plastics, pulper waste plastics).
⦁ Products actually quite impossible to separate and sort (carpets, dusts, tank bottom wastes)
⦁ Heterogeneous waste for producing RDF
